Tell us a little about yourself. Like where you live, who you live with, and what you are passionate about.
I live in So. California. I have lived here my whole life. I never thought 5 years ago that I would be passionate about plants but here I am running a instagram plant styling blog, I mean you never know what passion you will wake up with one day!
Tell us about your home's style inspiration. What vibe are you trying to create?I am all about bright natural light. I always wanted white painted walls in my space so I could work off of that and create anything from there. Plus I know white walls make for the best images! Once I bought my first plant, I knew right away how I would decorate everything else. I just wanted a jungle in my room. I have ditched most of my furniture and let the plants take over. I feel the vibe I have created is a space for refreshment. Most people who come in to my space say everything is so clean and airy. My space is literally a 'little getaway' I love it.
Tell us about when you first fell in love with plants?
I first fell in love with the very first hoya I bought at home depot 2 years ago and when it didn't die, I thought 'Hey, I think I could get another one.' The rest is history!
How many houseplants do you currently have?
Honestly it looks like I have 100 on my feed, but really only 40 maybe? I know I need more but I am running out of space!
Why is adding houseplants to your space important to you?
Not only are they gorgeous and add so much texture to the space, I love taking care of them and watching them have new growth and knowing I had a part in that. It's such a good feeling when they are thriving!
What are your must have accessories for the perfect plant corner?
A chair for sure! Something hanging above the chair and probably a mirror on the wall to make it look even more grand!
Where do you find beauty in your everyday life?
In others! Always inspired by others whether it be in my regular life or on social media.
What's the next plant you want to get?
Probably a birds of paradise!
Who are some of your favorite plant inspiration accounts?
I love Nelson from @nelplant, Nicole from @creeryan and Friederike from @friederikchen
Do you have any tips for an aspiring plant lady?
Start small! Having too many plants in the beginning can be overwhelming and you will find yourself wondering why most are dying. Start with the easy plants such as the ZZ or a snake plant, because those are hard to kill! Then step up to the more 'finicky' ones like the Fiddle and monstera and really take your time to get to know what each plant needs and likes before you grow your collection.
